The Wildlife Trusts is a partnership of 47 local Wildlife Trusts across the UK. Their vision is ‘an environment richer in wildlife for everyone’ and they’re the largest charity exclusively dedicated to conserving UK habitats and species, with a membership of more than 530,000 people including 62,000 junior members. They’re also the largest voluntary organisation working for nature conservation in the UK with over 25,000 volunteers. They campaign for the protection of wildlife and invest in the future by helping people of all ages to gain a greater appreciation and understanding of wildlife. The John Muir Trust Since 1983 the John Muir Trust has dedicated itself to making John Muir’s message a reality within the United Kingdom. By acquiring and sensitively managing key areas of wild land, the Trust sets out to show that the damage inflicted on wild land over the centuries can be repaired. The Trust takes a holistic view in its approach to land management, recognising the important relationships between all the many aspects which make up our wild places.

Friends of the Earth International is a federation of autonomous environmental organizations from all over the world. Our members, in 66 countries, campaign on the most urgent environmental and social issues of our day, while simultaneously catalyzing a shift toward sustainable societies.

The World Wildlife Fund WWF is a global organization that is doing all it can to halt the accelerating destruction of our natural world. Yet it is no good being ‘global’ if we cannot act locally. The American Land Conservancy A national, private, non-profit organisation founded in 1990, ALC works in close partnership with communities, private landowners, local land trusts, public lands agencies and elected officials to create effective conservation solutions for threatened land and water resources.

Earth Island Institute (EII), founded in 1982 by veteran environmentalist David Brower, fosters the efforts of creative individuals by providing organizational support in developing projects for the conservation, preservation, and restoration of the global environment. EII provides activists the freedom to develop program ideas, supported by services to help them pursue those ideas, with a minimum of bureaucracy.

The Aldo Leopold Foundation Building upon the vision Aldo Leopold enunciated in A Sand County Almanac and other works, the Aldo Leopold Foundation strives to promote the care of natural resources and foster an ethical relationship between people and land.

UBC Farm UBC Farm is a student driven initiative on 40 hectares of farm and forest lands which are located at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. The goal, with participation from faculty, staff and local community, is to develop the UBC Farm into an international agroecology centre for study of sustainable agriculture and food systems.

The Land is Ours (TLIO) TLIO campaigns peacefully for access to the land, its resources, and the decision-making processes affecting them, for everyone, irrespective of race, gender or age.
