The science of connection that underpinned the MSc was also something Brian lived in practise. Brian touched many people in the community with his attention and vision in many areas of cultural and human regeneration. Also in main steam biology Brian would connect with people from all perspectives of a debate. It is this quality that comes through in the book An Intuitive Way of Knowing a Tribute to Brian Goodwin. For in this book there are people from all sides of the debate presenting different perspectives on biology, joined in their knowing of Brian. So uniquely the book sums up not only Brian’s work and his ideas, but the whole context of the time in which he lived.
