Adventures in New Economics - Tony Greenham (Part One)

Tony Greenham from the new economics foundation, talks about The Sharing Economy. This is the first part of his talk and discussion arranged by REconomy Project and Schumacher College.

The Sharing Economy has arrived. Built around the sharing of human and physical resources, digital technology has opened up new spaces and possibilities for people to share information, co-produce, co-consume and match unmet needs with spare resources. This has huge potential to use our natural resources much more efficiently, unleash creative talent and build social bonds. But is there a downside? Is access to resources enough, or do we need to challenge the concentration of ownership? It this a new commonwealth, or a new way to extract wealth from the commons?
