Dr Iain McGilchrist Sustainability MastersIain McGilchrist - The Power of No

Wednesday, 4 February at 8pm
The Great Hall, Dartington Hall, The Elmhirst Centre, Totnes, Devon TQ9 6EL

The very word negative, which simply means ‘no’-saying, suggests that negation is unhelpful, uncreative, depressing – perhaps  even immoral.  Celebrated author and speaker Iain McGilchrist, will argue that this is a cruel deception, a consequence of rigid, linear thinking, which, paradoxical as it may seem, ensures disappointment, failure, and misery.  Every ‘yes’ is reached only on the far side of ‘no’.
