NEW: Bursary Funding for Ecological Design Thinking

Thursday, 14 April, 2016

Schumacher College is delighted to announce significant bursary funding has just become available for its ground-breaking programme in Ecological Design Thinking, starting September 2016. With special thanks to an anonymous donor, we now have our largest bursary allocation for a single postgraduate programme.

Says Professor Seaton Baxter, programme leader: “At this crucial time in history for ecologically-inspired design, this generous gift to our programme will allow us to take students who wouldn’t normally be able to participate. Our aim is to support change-makers from all backgrounds who will be at the forefront of the transition to a more resilient and sustainable society”.

In its third year, the MA programme in Ecological Design Thinking, is an opportunity to create a better, brighter and more beautiful world – engaging with challenging ecological, social and economic situations at global and local levels. It is a programme for those who want to be involved in co-creating and re-designing the way we live, whether through activism, planning, policy or entrepreneurialism.

Schumacher College runs residential postgraduate programmes with a difference. They are small group, high contact time and fully immersed within our international learning community. Our fees are higher than other traditional institutions as a result, but we work to find funding for bursaries that allow as many people as possible to benefit from our life-changing and transformative learning opportunities.
