Schumacher College's Earth Talks will now be offering two free tickets to every event to make them available to people on a low income.

Over the years the lectures and sessions have gained an international reputation for attracting leading academics, thinkers and activists from all over the world who come to share their insight.

Interim Head of College Jenny Mackewn said: “The value of these talks has always been about sharing and exchanging knowledge so the College has always tried keep costs low.

“However, we realise that for some people this may still be more than they can afford.  We hope by doing this it will mean that more people will have the opportunity to join us.”

The tickets will be issued on a first come first served basis and will be limited to two free tickets per Earth Talk.

Charles Foster, the author of Life as Beast will be talking about his experience of living as a wild animal, including sleeping in a badger sett and foraging in bins like an urban fox, on Monday June 18.

Hope in the Time of Crisis is the theme of the talk from Helena Norberg Hodge which will be held at the main teaching room in the Old Postern on June 26.
