MA Ecological Design Thinking*

MA Ecological Design Thinking is a transformative programme for designers and creative practitioners working in communities and enterprises that are seeking the tools, techniques and ecological understanding to transform their practice. It links to a growing network of ecological design thinkers around the world, clustered in a series of regional ecological design labs: transdisciplinary groups working on ecological design thinking in practice. Graduates from our MA Ecological Design Thinking will come away with a deep understanding of the complexity and dynamics of ecological and social systems and the range of tools and techniques needed to work with others to bring transformative change into being.

The new MA Ecological Design Thinking is a blended learning programme with 4 x 30 credit modules and 1 x 60 credit (dissertation) module.

It is proposed that each of the 1st 4 (30 credit) modules will include:
2-week intensive/residential element at Schumacher College followed by, 4-week supported e-learning format.

* subject to validation
This means the course is in development and the details of the course are in the process of being finalised by the college. The majority of new courses with this status are approved; however, this is not guaranteed.
