Visiting Lecturers

Many of the world’s greatest thinkers and doers come to teach at Schumacher College. They come from all walks of life including business, academia and independent charitable organisations.

All are highly experienced in their specialist subject, and several regularly contribute to the Schumacher College programme.

Alongside the teachers, in order to create a supportive learning environment and a positive dialogue between teachers and participants, the courses are assisted by one of our highly skilled facilitators.

Anna is a professional animal communicator who has received advanced training through the Assisi International Animal Institute in California, USA and has been practising for 12 years in South Africa, Europe and the USA with domestic and wild animals.

Bill McKibben

Bill is a well known environmental author and activist, and the founder of 350.org. When he’s not busy organizing, Bill is an active writer on the climate crisis and other environmental issues.

Colin Campbell teaches traditional African medicine and Holistic Living

Colin Campbell

Colin Campbell is a practitioner of traditional African medicine, based in Cape Town, South Africa and the UK. He receives clients from all over the world, and facilitates international group processes relating to natural law, transformation, healing & personal power, sacred sites, and cross-cultural cosmology.

David Abram

Dr. David Abram, cultural ecologist and philosopher gone wild, is the award-winning author of Becoming Animal: An Earthly Cosmology and of The Spell of the Sensuous: Perception and Language in a More-than-Human World.

David Whyte

Poet David Whyte is the author of seven books of poetry and three books of prose. Scilla Elworthy

Scilla Elworthy
