Dr. Peter Fenwick is a neuropsychiatrist with a special interest in consciousness and the nature of mind. For the last nine years he has been working part-time at a neuroscience unit in Japan investigating the magnetic fields which change during brain function. With his wife he has just written a book on the experiences of the dying, and is at present researching the mental state of the dying as reported by hospices and palliative care teams.
