Karen Blincoe
Karen Blincoe is a designer, educationalist and environmentalist and the Founder and Creator of ICIS, the International Centre for Creativity, Innovation and Sustainability in Denmark. Her background is in design consultancy. In this capacity she founded two design consultancies, KB Design in 1984, and O2 UK, in 1989. Karen is known nationally and internationally in the fields of design and education and holds executive and honorary positions in many organisations including treasurer of Icograda (The International Council of Graphic Design Associations); visiting professor at the Faculty of Design & Architecture at University of Brighton, UK and was head of department for Visual Communication at Denmark’s Designskole, Copenhagen in 1991. She is also a member of the Arts Council and the Association of Danish Designers. Karen became Director of Schumacher College in September 2006.
