Indra DonFrancesco

Indra DonFrancesco works for Radical Routes, a secondary co-op and mutual aid network for co-operatives working for radical social change. Through its ethical investment scheme, Rootstock, it is able to make loans to its member housing-, worker- and social centre co-operatives.

Indra has worked as a community development worker on socially excluded estates for five years. She has helped the residents secure service level agreements, gain access to funding, training and campaigning skills to save their local park, nursery and post office from closing and has helped start three social enterprises. Outside of this she has been an environmental activist for twenty years. Her latest project is a Sail Boat workers coop, training people to sail and appreciate marine life while using sustainable transport.
