Schumacher College

Supporting a new generation of leaders and activists creating an economy fit for the future

For nearly 20 years, Schumacher College has been pioneering radical new thinking in economics attracting participants and inspirational teachers from around the globe. Now we are working with like-minded people and organisations to develop a Masters programme in economics to inspire, skill and support a new generation of leaders and activists in creating an economy fit for the challenges of the 21st century. The programme should open for application later this year to start in 2011.

In creating an inspiring vision and future what principals, tools and methods we need to help us on the journey? We are keen to involve you in the development of this course. We want to hear from you…

Julie Richardson, Head of Economics at Schumacher College said: This is all about understanding how to support the development of a life sustaining economy. Because the concerns are so urgent and we want people in all aspects of economic change to be involved, we are developing this programme to really bring together leading theory and practice in this area. We can then put learning into practice within the students own lives. I think the results will be phenomenal. It is very exciting.
