Employment Opportunity: Devon School for Social Entrepreneurs

LEARNING MANAGER

£26,000 per annum

Full-time, initial fixed term contract until 31 December 2010

The School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE) supports pioneering individuals in developing their creative and entrepreneurial skills to deliver solutions for a range of social issues. As part of its rapid growth in the UK, and with recently secured funding, a new Devon SSE is being set up led by Dartington working with a coalition of county wide organisations. This new post of Learning Manager is integral to the success of Devon SSE in its first phase of development.

You will be responsible for the development and delivery of pioneering learning programmes tailored to the requirements of emerging social entrepreneurs in Devon. You will also proactively support the development of Devon SSE in its crucial start up phase by building sustainable networks, recruiting and managing freelance tutors, facilitators and expert witnesses and assisting with fundraising and marketing.

To succeed in this role, you will need experience of developing effective learning programmes with demonstrable outcomes, experience of implementing quality assurance schemes, knowledge of social entrepreneurship, action learning, coaching and mentoring and, above all else a can do, resilient approach with a commitment to want to make a difference.
