A Taste of Schumacher College

When Julia Ponsonby one of Schumacher College’s cooks wrote Gaia’s Kitchen it was not only a collection of favourite recipes, but a living demonstration of the way that good food also nourishes the soul.

Eating with awareness becomes an act of gratitude and respect for the food we eat and connects us dynamically with our body; the very body it is nurturing and sustaining. It is also a statement of philosophy and a political act. As consumers, we have the power to affect where the food comes from and the economic, social and technological processes it goes through before we receive it.
