Schumacher in Copenhagen- The March

An estimated 100,000 people marched through the streets of Copenhagen yesterday from Christiansborg Palace in the centre of the city to the Bella Centre, site of COP15. Those of us from Schumacher College attending Klimaforum09 were among them.

In contrast to the media coverage of the march, the atmosphere along the 6km route was hugely positive and powerful. Individuals, families and activists from all over the world joined together with a single voice, calling for ‘Systemic Change- not Climate Change’.
