Schumacher in Copenhagen- The Declaration
Klimaforum09, the civic society conference running alongside COP15 in Copenhagen, has released a global climate declaration expressing the hopes, ideas, and visions of citizens groups and social movements from all corners of the planet. It calls for:
- A complete abandoning of fossil fuels within the next 30 years
- Recognition, payment and compensation of climate debt
- Rejection to purely market- orientated and technology centred actions
- Real solutions to the climate crisis
