What Makes Our World Work?

Teacher: Jeddah Mali

At this time of increasing challenges for the planet, we need to ask how we created the world we currently have and how we can develop the skills and understanding to act wisely, and in harmony with the needs of wider society and the Earth. What does the future world we desire require of us now? And what are the most viable options for achieving this on an individual, societal and global level?

Course details

Combining experiential wisdom with the latest scientific discoveries, Jeddah Mali explores how our understanding of existence directly determines our experience of ourselves, our society and our planet. From this perspective she poses fundamental questions about our role as humans in the universe.

During this course, Jeddah will take participants on a journey which begins with questioning the nature of life and its fundamental building blocks and moves on to investigating the role of thought and its impact on our perception and experience. She will refer to scientific studies looking at emotional physiology and heart-brain interaction which originate with the Institute of HeartMath. This work throws new light on the role of harmony, coherence and empathy in human life and suggests positive new directions in the eternal search for peace on Earth. In light of this expanded awareness, how can we as individuals make a significant difference?

“We all want to live life to the fullest, find happiness, be in rewarding relationships, understand others well, respond to them with patience and compassion, have a sense of connectedness and belonging, laugh with unbridled joy, feel safe and secure, feel a sense of purpose, contribute positively to our world and feel good about who we are.”

Deep time with Jeddah Mali

Schumacher College

This course is the perfect opportunity to spend 4 days living and learning with Jeddah. Set in the heart of Devon’s beautiful countryside, Schumacher College, a leader in sustainable and spiritual education for 20 years, is the perfect place to embody Jeddah’s teaching. A significant aspect of the week will be for participants to examine these vast questions within their own experience, and in doing so uncover the role that experience plays in relaying vital information to us as to the wisdom of our present thoughts and actions.

Based on her belief that we develop better solutions by asking better questions, Jeddah will also work with the group to ask questions around these themes, drawing on historical fact, recent scientific discoveries and accepted wisdom. Each day will involve presentations, discussion, written exercises and closed eye analysis (analytical meditation).

Teacher

Jeddah Mali is an international Teacher, Mentor and Advisor. She embarked on a 20 year long journey which led her to Asia to study with some of the world’s highest ranking masters: His Holiness the Dalai Lama, His Holiness Ajahn Buddhadassa, Lama Zopa Rinpoche, Master Goenka and realised teachers in the Tibetan, Theravadan and Bhutanese traditions of Buddhism. Her spiritual journey led to a series of awakenings – leading to a precise understanding of the structure, nature and working order of human consciousness, and its ultimate purpose.

She has spent many years fine-tuning this ability and now practices as an international mentor and consultant, teaching others how to find, explore and realise their own incredible potential. Jeddah has a masterful way of communicating that brings clarity and humour to complex subjects.

As well as speaking and training, she works with individuals, groups and organisations to establish the link between our design as human beings and our hardwired predisposition towards peace and contentment. She has mentored key individuals for many years and turned around the culture of whole organisations to allow them to operate harmoniously and efficiently.

Jeddah sits on the Steering Committee for the Global Coherence Initiative along with Gregg Braden, Claudia Welss, Deborah Rozman and Howard Martin. She is also a member of the Transformational Leadership Council along with Lynne Twist (The Soul of Money and The Pachamama Alliance), Corinne McLaughlin (Centre for Visionary Leaders) and Lynne McTaggart (author The Field).
