Short Course Options for MSc Students 2008/09

In addition to the three core modules which MSc students study in the first term, they are also required to take two short courses at the College in the second term, between January and March.

Professionals and other interested, active individuals also attend these courses. They come from an array of cultural and professional backgrounds and each brings the wealth of their individual experiences to the course. These courses therefore offer up an excellent opportunity for students to engage with specialist areas in a holistic way.

The course options for 2008/09 are:

Exploring Science Matter and Consciousness

Embedding Holistic Economics for a Global Community

Systems Thinking in Practice

Please note that the course fees are set as part of the total MSc in Holistic Science fee, and no early booking or other promotional discounts apply for MSc in Holistic Science students.

Short course accreditation for the MSc in Holistic Science

The University of Plymouth has approved the three course options listed and each carries 20 masters credits. Students must choose their two short course options from these three; none of the other short courses in the College’s Course Programme can count towards the award of the MSc in Holistic Science degree.

If students wish to take other additional short courses from the second term onwards they are free to do so, but are advised to discuss this with the MSc Co-ordinator. Additional short courses may be chosen from the programme between April and July 2009. MSc in Holistic Science students taking any of these courses may be entitled to a 40% fee reduction on selected courses.

Accommodation during the short course options is covered in section: Food and accommodation for MSc Students
