• A walk in the woods
• Plate carving

Day 2 – Cleaving, hewing and milling

• Cleft oak fencing
• Shingle making
• Using a shave horse
• Properties of wood

Day 3 – Round pole construction

• Coppice materials
• Round pole construction

Day 4 – The Mortice and Tennon

• Scribing and cutting
• Shoulders and pegs

Day 5 Timber frame construction

• Setting out the frame
• Post and beam design

Course Fees

Standard fee: £425.00 per module.

PLEASE NOTE: Non-residential (4 nights, lunches included) – Course costs do not include accommodation and evening meals.
