Many corporations taking pro-active action on climate change are seeing benefits. More businesses need clear communication strategies in this area to make the most of this opportunity.
Course Overview
This course will look at the practice of communication around climate change — what works and what doesn’t. It will look at the knotty question of the role and responsibilities of business in reaching the public. Participants will identify the benefits of responsible reporting, the keys to powerful advertising and the means to communicate effectively about low or zero carbon products and services as an integral part of the business message. Teachers and participants will explore ways of communicating creative approaches to climate change and sustainability with integrity. Participants will develop skills in making sustainability attractive to their audience, thereby becoming better equipped to meet the challenges of climate change.
This course is intended for: corporate responsibility staff, those involved in PR, marketing and communications and for those who think sustainability provides strong opportunities, as well as challenges, for businesses.
This course is facilitated by and run in association with CarbonSense.
