Peter Barnes is an entrepreneur who has founded and led several socially responsible businesses, including a worker-owned solar energy company and a socially screened unit trust. At present he is a Senior Fellow at the Tomales Bay Institute in California. He is the author of Who Owns The Sky? and Capitalism 3.0: A Guide to Reclaiming the Commons. He has also written for Newsweek, the New Republic and Resurgence magazines, and served on the boards of the National Cooperative Bank (U.S.) and Greenpeace International. In 2003 he gave the annual lecture at America’s E.F. Schumacher Society. His father was an economist.

Each month some of the tutors from our Short Course programme kindly share their knowledge and views at our regular public Open Evenings – usually held at the College or in Totnes.

Everyone is welcome to attend.
